In a casserole, mix:
31 oz can Pork and Beans
1/2 C Catsup
1/4 C (unpacked) brown sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 medium to large onion, minced
Add pepper to taste, using our beautiful scarlet macaw salt and pepper shakers.
On top, spread 3 bacon strips. Cover. Bake at 350° for 45 minutes. Uncover. Bake 10 minutes to brown bacon. Stir. Bake 35 minutes, stirring occasionally. (This will mix in the bacon strips). Baking uncovered will brown the beans and dry the liquid.
