Description
Customer Reviews
This light-weight ivory-billed woodpecker ornament was hand-crafted with a machete in Nicaragua in a fair-trade cooperative of artisans and then hand-painted with realistic detail. Made of sustainable balsa wood and non-toxic paints.
Approximately 5 x 3-3/4 inches.

Five Gold Stars! I love it.
I guess he really is rare....He is out of stock. My Ivory billed Woodpecker is hanging on my Memory Tree where the Acorn Woodpecker was (until I gave it as a gift). I gave away a lot of Fair Trade ornaments last year (for Christmas in July at one church and at Advent at the one I attend) -- so I would have room to add more. I had to take my tree down last fall to put more lights on it. I didn't put all of the ornaments back on it...More might go on the tree at church to give away once that tree comes down. Maybe next time I have to set up the tree, I will put the Ivory billed woodpecker and the red headed woodpecker from Kenya closer together so they can visit.
